Petre Shotadze Tbilisi Medical Academy Tbilisi Medical Academy was founded in 1992 by an eminent Georgian doctor, pediatric surgeon, Petre Shotadze After graduating from Tbilisi State Medical University in 1970, all his doctoral, scientific and academic activities were associated with the Tbilisi State Institute of Higher Education of Physicians, where he moved from being a graduate student to the head of pediatric surgery and to the rector of the university
In 1999, after the death of Dr. Shotadze , Tbilisi Medical Academy was renamed “ Petre Shotadze Tbilisi Medical Academy”. Since its establishment, TMA has grown over 1,500 graduates who are successfully working in Georgian and international hospitals, universities and scientific centers
