New Vision University (NVU) is a private, non-profit civil university, located in Tbilisi, Georgia. Founded in 2013, it is dedicated to promoting education, research, and innovation. NVU is organized into four academic units including: Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Business and Information Technology, School of Law and School of Politics and Diplomacy
Teaching takes place in the Environmental Campus for Bachelor’s and Master’s students while doctoral students are placed in the Doctoral Studies Building
In addition, the university also includes New Vision University Hospital and Blood Bank which act as non-profit legal entities for the benefit of the public. The governing bodies of New Vision University are the Academic Council, the House of Representatives, and the School Councils
The Academic Council is the supreme governing body of the institution with the professors of the Institute being the members of the Academic Council. The Academic Council takes all decisions unanimously, i.e. on the basis of unanimity
The hospital is a rare exception in the reality of Georgia, which was established as a non-profit legal entity and works for the benefit of the public. This is expressed by various free examination programs, as well as by the so-called development of non-profit directions. For example, in 2017, the palliative department was formed and expanded several times
The non-profit New Vision University Hospital, a company operating under the same name, which was established as a result of the reorganization of Cancer Research Center Limited – Martin D. Abeloff Laboratory (established April 20, 2012) and the September 2015 merger of Geoclinic Ltd., has been replaced. In October 2017, another independently operating unit purchased from “Davit Gagua Clinic” joined the hospital. Accordingly, the number of hospital beds increased to 125
Since September 1, 2016, the management of the hospital and the medical school have been unified to make the dean of the medical school the president of the hospital at a later time
