The history of Batumi Navigation Teaching University (BNTU) dates back to 1998, with the establishment of the “Batumi Maritime College – Seaman School.” In 2007, the university was founded on the premises of Seaman School and has been successfully developing ever since, marking over 12 years of academic excellence.
BNTU holds an ISO certification , demonstrating its commitment to international quality standards. It is also recognized by the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) and the Georgian Maritime Transport Authority . The university operates as an accredited sectoral educational center equipped with modern facilities and a dedicated training vessel.
BNTU comprises two faculties:
- Faculty of Marine Engineering
- Faculty of Logistics
Together, they offer three vocational programs, three bachelor’s degree programs, and one master’s degree program.
The university collaborates with 11 crewing agencies and 8 logistics companies , and has established partnerships for research and education with institutions in 18 countries around the world.

University Admission Requirements:
To obtain admission to Batumi Navigation Teaching University , please carefully fill out the registration form and send the required documents to the following email address:

Required Documents for Registration:
- A copy of the student’s passport
- A copy of the academic qualification (e.g., high school diploma or bachelor’s degree)
- One recent personal photo (passport-style)
After submitting your application and completing all required documents, you will receive an official offer letter from the university within 7 business days .
Based on the offer letter, Al-Batoul Group will begin the registration procedures. The process of translation, legalization, accreditation, and university enrollment takes approximately 15 to 30 business days .
Students can be admitted for either the Fall semester (September) or the Spring semester (March) .
